December Update

Just a quick update before the holidays get underway. Right now we are sitting at about 2500 signatures between all 4 student unions -- nice! The petition train is going to keep chugging along in the new year, so we should have thousands more signatures by the time we hand them over to the premier. We recently gave a presentation at the latest meeting of the Victoria Regional Transit Commission. We gave them the lowdown on our campaign and asked for their endorsement. The commission was receptive but they are going to get back to us on the endorsement (presumably after the 2008 BC Budget is presented).

In the meantime, enjoy the holidays and watch for more transit-related events to come in January and February!
